Lamborghini Reventon Review

Lamborghini Reventón

By: Matt_Supercar

The Lamborghini Reventón, is actually pronounced as Rebenton to be correct. Lamborghini has always named after Spanish bulls and they kept it that way again. It is ranked as the most powerful and expensive Lamborghini road car to date, costing 1 million Euros (U.S 1.5 million or £858,000). There is only 20 vehicles produced with an additional car (marked as 0/20 produced for the Lamborghini museum.

Despite its new exterior, almost all mechanical elements (including engine) are taken directly from the Murcielago LP640.

Performance & Engines

The Reventón's engine was a slightly tuned up from the Murcielago LP640 6.5L V12 rated at 640hp (480kw). It can accelerate from a standing 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in the same time with the LP640 in 3.4 seconds and it is capable of a top speed over 340 km/h (210 mph). The highest recorded top speed from the internal speedometer is up to an amazing 356 km/h (221 mph).

The Reventón's instrument panel compromises three TFT liquid crystal displays (LCDs) with 2 different display modes. The instruments are housed in a structure milled from a solid aluminum block protected by a carbon fiber casing. It also has a G Force meter which is a completely new and it is one of the talking points of the Reventon. It displays dynamic driving forces, longitudinal acceleration and braking, as well as transversal acceleration around bends. The seats of the Reventon are black and brown Alcantara.

The Reventón features an all new carbon fiber exterior. All Reventón's have the same exterior color described as "mid opaque grey without the usual shine". Rumors there are also in Olive Green, but they haven't been proved. It just stays us one unique color for this car. If you see any Reventón pictures/photos in different colors then they are edited in programs like Photoshop. Lamborghini has also picked up some parent company Audi's design language. It is the first ever Lamborghini to incorporate daylight running lights into the headlamps.
